Eli's special day

We blessed Eli on Sunday (kind of like a Christening). It was really sweet and I just had a happy feeling all day. I feel really blessed that I have these three boys.

Family Pic outside our church in Lubbock.
I still can't believe this is my family. I'm so lucky.

Tyson & Sara and their kids came from Dallas for the blessing.
Here's some cute cousins eating dinner!

Dallas getaway

Tim recently finished school for a few weeks so we decided we'd better take a break while we can! Just being out of Lubbock for a few days was really nice. Here's some highlights from our trip:

On our way! 5 hour drive

We spent the first two days at the Great Wolf Lodge. It's a big resort with an indoor water park. Oli's favourite part was the lazy river, he just kept wanting to swim around and around it. JJ liked the wave pool, he found it hilarious every time a wave hit him. They both loved the slides and the kiddy pool. I think we underestimated how tiring it would be with 3 kids in a place like this, but it was worth it!

 We're here!

Oli loved it!

JJ is a happy boy in the pool

Eli snuggled and slept most of the time

 Tim's favourite part!

 Oli is a brave boy

Me and my boys

All four Oblad boys

We were also really excited to go to Dallas because there's some places to eat that we don't have in Lubbock. We ate at Red Robin, Steak n Shake, and Costa Vida (a poor man's version of Cafe Rio, but hey it hits the spot), and Rainforest Cafe, a really fun restaurant that looks like a rainforest inside and has tons of life-size animals.

Some dinner at Steak n Shake

Oli is such a good sport

At Rainforest Cafe, the boys loved this crocodile

We also spent a few days in North Dallas staying with Tyson & Sara (Tim's older brother and their family). We always have a lot of fun together. It's pretty crazy with 7 kids getting in each others hair, but it's worth it. We spent a day at the zoo with them.

A day at Dallas Zoo!

This kid is going to be a biologist

A week of no naps took it's toll on JJ!

This Gorilla stared us down for a while

Cute brothers checking out the penguins

Cousin love! Oli & Myra

Eli & Makayla

Makayla, Lawson, JJ & Porter

This was probably our only getaway of the summer so I'm glad we did it while we could. Tim has a busy summer. He is proposing his thesis in a few weeks (a meta-analysis on cyber bullying) and will hopefully be defending it in August. Then you can all call him "Master Tim"!

Quick Eli update

Today Eli had his 2 month appointment! Here's his stats:

Height: 23 inches (45th percentile)
Weight: 12 pounds 9 oz (40th percentile)

He's almost doubled his birth weight in 2 months which is crazy to me. When my doctor induced me early because he wasn't growing that great and said he needed to grow on the outside, I guess she was right! Such a little chubber now, I love it.

No one gets more loves right now than this little guy!

Oli's first year of preschool

So today was Oli's last day of preschool, I was so sad! We have loved this school, they're so caring and he always brings home the cutest artwork. He has also learned so much and has mainly just come out of his shell. When he first started last year I was a little worried how he would get on because he was somewhat shy around other kids and very sensitive. Now he's mister social! He reminds me of me when I was little, walking up to anyone and everyone and introducing himself. Wherever we are he makes a friend, pool, park, playplace. it doesn't matter. I always hear him say "I'm Oliver Oblad" so cute!! Also when Oli first started school his teacher, the lovely Mrs Weathers (whom Oli adores) told me that he was really willing to do everything except when it came to songs, he would never join in or do the actions, he would just sit and watch. But at his end of school show he knew all the words and did all the actions, it was seriously most adorable thing I've ever seen and I was SO so proud. I tried to explain to him that today was his last day but he didn't really realise what that meant, I think he'll be sad once he figures out he not going to "Mrs Weathers house" anymore (bless him I think he thinks she lives there!) Here's some of Oli's best moments:

First day last August, he's so little!

Taken right before his field trip to Jumpin Jungle last week.
The t-shirt has all the kids from his class on it-so cute!

Oli's school show! He's bottom row all the way on the left.

Doing some actions

We love Mrs Weathers

Bringing his bucket full of goodies home!

My Mother's Day....

The boys made Mother's day really special for me this year, I loved it! Here's a taste:

Flowers and a card made by Oli

Tim made me this candy gram--so funny!
 This was on the back!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

My boys have been doing some cute things for me all day (which I'll post about soon since it's not done) but I really wanted to make a post about MY mum--Juliet Ford. Get ready for some cheese!

Mum, you are best mum anyone could ever want (seriously). You are sincere, understanding, patient, loving, so dependable, funny, supportive, wise, and beautiful inside and out. I love you.

Here are some of our best moments:

Love! This picture of me looks so much like JJ.

This one is Oli!

Ally & Tim

I realized that basically ALL of my blog posts are filled with stuff about our boys. While they do consume most of our lives right now, we still have things we like to do too....so here's some info about Alyce & Tim.

I like to make cakes

Tim plays basketball every week with some guys at church

I have the bestest group of friends who I hang out with all week long at play dates and some well earned girly nights, watching the Bachelor, and of course Bunco!!

Tim spends a lot of time at school studying his little butt off and is currently working on his masters thesis which he will be defending in August. Subject: cyberbullying.

I teach piano lessons during the week to some cute little boys & girls and conduct the ward choir

Tim has a best buddy, Wade, who he races out of bed in the morning to ride to school on the bus with and has secret rendezvous at Taco Bell at lunch time!

I skype with my family, a LOT!

Tim likes to keep up to date in all his BYU sports blogs and twitters (tweets?) about this all day long.

We love to play games with friends, especially trains & killer bunnies

My favourite class at the gym is: Kick!

Tim works as a research assistant for a professor on campus and interviews couples for a newlywed study.

I like to read books, the paper kind not the computer kind. I get them from the library.

Tim likes to cook, and he's really good at it. Especially on his new charcoal grill.

Despite having 3 kids we eat out at least once a week, we love doing this as a family. My favourite places: Chili's & Olive garden. Tim's: Dickies (BBQ) & Dions (Pizza)

Tim and I bought tennis rackets last year and have played once, we plan to do this more often!

I spend at least 2 hours a day cleaning our house (not all in one go). My favourite chore is vacuuming, thanks to my Dyson! Tim has one chore: taking the rubbish out.

From 9pm-midnight is OUR time. We usually watch a movie or just hang out.
